Raindrop Magazine is a publication of Raindrop Publishing, and it is a place where homeschool students and homeschool moms can share their words with the world. Whether it’s a short story, a poem, a personal essay, historical fiction, or a thoughtful reflection, we want to give you a platform.
This is more than a submission form. It’s an invitation.

Writing for Us
We Publish:
Fiction: Short stories, flash fiction.
Poetry: Individual poems or a small set (3–5 poems) with consistent themes.
Personal Essays: True stories or reflective essays that explore personal growth, faith, or life experiences. Thoughtful or uplifting perspectives are particularly appreciated. (Authors are responsible for ensuring the factual accuracy of any non-fiction submissions).
While Raindrop Pub is not an explicitly Christian Magazine, faith-based content is highly encouraged. We accept submissions that explore spirituality, moral questions, or personal reflections on faith, as well as work that simply uplifts, inspires, or provokes thoughtful reflection. We encourage work that is humorous, exciting, and has traditional family values. We accept genres from mystery to fantasy.
Content We Do Not Accept:
Horror or graphic thrillers
Explicitly violent content or graphic depictions of gore
Stories containing explicit sexual references or sexual activity
Plagiarized or previously published work
AI-generated content
We reserve the right to reject any submission that does not align with the magazine’s tone, values, or audience, even if it falls outside these categories.
Writing Guidelines:
Language: Must be written in English. We will accept stories from around the world but must be translated to English before submission.
Original Work: All submissions must be original and unpublished. Simultaneous submissions are permitted but must be disclosed at the time of submission.
Formatting: Submit fiction and essays in standard manuscript format (double-spaced, 12-point font, 1-inch margins, page numbers at top of page). Poetry should be submitted in a readable format that preserves line breaks.
Length:
Fiction: up to 5,000 words
Poetry: up to 5 poems per submission
Personal Essays: up to 2,500 words
Please proofread your work before submission to catch any typos or grammatical errors. While minor mistakes will not disqualify your piece, clean, well-edited work helps our editors read and review submissions more efficiently.

How to Submit:
Complete the query form below. We will contact you to submit your story. Please submit it as a .doc, .docx, or .pdf). Include a brief cover letter with your name (you can use a pen name if you choose) as it should appear in print, a short bio (2–3 sentences), and one link to your website or author profile.
Response Time: Please allow 3–6 months for a response. Once all submissions have been reviewed, we will contact you to let you know whether your work has been accepted for publication.

Are there age requirements?
There are no age requirements. However, submissions must be completely original to the author.
What is the response time?
We typically respond within 3-6 months. We will let you know if we accpet your story or if we are unable to accept it.
Do you pay for article submissions?
We are unable to provide monetary compensation. However, writers receive exposure to our audience, and a brief bio with links to your website or author profile.
Can my story be previously published?
We request only first publication rights, which means your work appears with us first, but the copyright always remains with you.
